Strengthened partnership with Polytives for environmentally friendly plastics production
The Diersch & Schröder Group is expanding its partnership with Polytives and acquiring the shares of Beteiligungsmanagement Thüringen GmbH (bm-t). This strengthens its strategic commitment to Polytives, a specialist in polymer additives.
Polytives GmbH is a leading company in the development of innovative additives for saving energy and materials in plastics production. Polytives has already made ground-breaking progress with the aim of combining sustainability and cost-effectiveness in the use of plastics. The acquisition of the existing shares in bm-t by the Diersch & Schröder Group underlines the confidence in the vision and potential of Polytives GmbH.
This transaction, which was followed by a capital increase in the first quarter of this year, will further strengthen the strategic direction and maximise the growth potential of Polytives. The expanded partnership is intended to pave the way for future innovations and joint success.
By expanding its strategic partnership with Polytives GmbH and acquiring the existing shares of bm-t, the Diersch & Schröder Group is sending a strong signal in favour of a shared vision of sustainable and economical plastics production.
Polytives GmbH: Pioneers in polymer additive technology
Polytives GmbH develops and distributes polymer additives for the polymer industry. These products improve processing methods and expand the range of applications for the target polymer. Polytives shares the vision of developing polymers more intelligently, using them more sustainably and continuing to position them technologically as a material of the future.
The young company's expertise stems from the research project launched in 2014 by Polytives co-founders Oliver Eckardt and Prof. Felix H. Schacher. Together with business economist Viktoria Rothleitner, they have been planning the company since 2018 from an EXIST project and founded it in Jena/Thuringia. The research findings at the time have now been successfully scaled up to industrial standards. The team, which has won several awards in recent years (it has been ranked among the top 50 start-ups in Germany twice, for example), is pursuing the ambitious goal of making the innovative additives usable in every polymer in the world.
